Commission Terms of Service

All prices are listed in USD, and thus may cost more or less depending on your region. I understand that times are difficult for many of us right now, so please do not feel obligated to acquiesce to my prices if they are out of your budget. I try to keep my prices as low as possible while still feeling worth my effort.

All listed prices are the baseline price, and may be subject to change based upon the complexity (and the time and labor involved with more complex pieces) of the commission.

Additional character fees do not apply to Sketch commissions. For Sketch commissions, you will be charged the baseline price per character.

I retain the rights to all of my work. Unless requested otherwise, I may post commissioned works to my social media, or to my personal art portfolio. My art may not be used to train any kind of generative AI engine.

No additional fees are required when requesting a piece you commissioned not be posted. I will never post non-watermarked versions of a piece you commissioned.

Commissions are for personal use only. Work produced by me for you may be used for social media banners, profile pics, private TTRPG campaigns, etc. Additional fees will be required for use in commercial works, or for merchandising rights.

You may (of course) post any work you commission from me anywhere you’d like, but you must give credit.

Unless a work contains an IP created by myself, I will not merchandise off of a commission.

I retain the right to decline a commission for any reason.

I will not work with anybody who I find has expressed discriminatory views (racist, LGBTQ-phobic, ableist, sexist, etc).

I will not work with anybody who supports generative AI of any form.

If I feel a piece is beyond my abilities, or contains content that I am not comfortable creating, I may decline your business.

Please wait 1-16 weeks for your piece to be completed, depending on the level of complexity and extraneous workflow. I value the work I do and want to make the best that I can for you, so please have patience! I will provide updates on your commission at the Sketch, Ink, Flat, pre-Render, and Final Check-In phases of the process, as well as a weekly check-in after beginning the commission.

Additional fees will be added to your total if the piece is requested to be done within the 1-16 week window (except Sketch commissions). Fees will vary depending on complexity of the piece and timeframe.

While there will be no additional fees for not providing visual references for your commission, they are heavily encouraged to avoid additional labor fees. Even if you can only provide a crude stick-figure drawing, or detailed written description, it’s better than nothing! Remember that this is for you, and I want it to be what you want it to be.

If you provide AI generated images or text among any of your visual reference material, I will immediately cease doing business with you.

Revisions must be requested during check-ins. If revisions are requested in-between check-ins, additional fees may be applied to your final total depending on level of complexity.

I can take payment through various services such as CashApp or PayPal, where I will send you an invoice for 50% of the base price of your commission before beginning the sketch phase.

This 50% is non-refundable in full, but if you wish to cancel the commission for any reason before the sketch phase is complete, 25% of the total base price will be returned to you.

Sketch commissions are exempt from this and will be charged for in full before beginning work. Sketch commissions are non-refundable.

After approval of the base sketch, the remaining total of the baseline price will be required before continuing work on the piece.

If you wish to cancel your commission before its completion, or if I feel I cannot complete the piece, you will be issued a partial refund based upon the amount of work completed (I will retain 25% of the total baseline price minimum).

If I fail to complete your commission within the 16 week window, you may request a partial refund (I will retain 25% of the total baseline price minimum).

Aggressive, rude, or otherwise inappropriate behavior towards me during the production of your commission will result in the cancellation of the project. If you’ve already paid the full baseline price, you will be refunded 50%.

After approval during the final check phase, you will be sent an invoice for any additional fees that may have accrued during production of your commission. After fulfilling this payment, you will be emailed your full resolution, non-watermarked piece.
